Super Joey Foundation
Houston Team
In 2021, I started volunteering for the Super Joey Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports families in the United States affected by childhood cancer. I started as a regular volunteer, but throughout the years, I put in hard work and gained recognition, getting promoted to Treasurer and eventually President of the Houston Chapter. As President, I have had the privilege of leading projects that bring hope and encouragement to children fighting cancer. Through children’s hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses in Houston, I mobilize volunteers, plan community events, and ensure that every effort brings comfort and joy to young patients and their families.
For local hospitals, I have organized book donation drives, various fundraising events, creative workshops, LEGO parties, and cooking sessions for Father's and Mother's days. At Ronald McDonald Houses, we also provided care packages and family activities that offered moments of relief and togetherness during difficult times. These activities provide children a chance to step away from treatment and simply be kids, immersing them through art, stories, play, and laughter.
Each event reminded me that even small acts, like a handmade card or a shared afternoon of laughter, carry immense power. For the kids, these gestures became moments of joy and relaxation.
