Online and onsite shop
for Fundraising
To sustain the activities of Seedling Sun Foundation, I launched a fundraising shop that bridges creativity with purpose. What began with a simple idea of turning volunteer artwork into products has grown into local market fairs, door-to-door sales, and an online store that directly supports our programs and fund donations to the Super Joey Foundation.
I formed a dedicated market team to design business plans, create advertising, and bring our products to the community. Since Seedling Sun already had a group of talented young writers and artists, I challenged our volunteers to transform their creativity into products centered around education. The results were inspiring: beautifully illustrated bookmarks, greeting cards, notebooks, mugs, and canvas bags, each piece carrying the spirit of our mission.
Our first booth at a local farmers’ market exceeded expectations: we sold out of many items and, more importantly, connected with families who resonated with our cause. We also went door-to-door, giving us the chance to personally meet supporters, learn about their favorite designs, and understand emerging trends. These conversations helped shape our product line and made fundraising a more personal, community-centered experience.
I also used these events as an opportunity to conduct market surveys, especially around the holiday season, and expanded our offerings with handmade crochet amigurumi gifts for Christmas and the New Year.
Following our success at in-person fairs and door-to-door sales, I launched an online shop to broaden our reach, allowing supporters near and far to participate. Every purchase helps fund free art therapy programs, illustrated book projects, and educational workshops.
